Experience

Wei Jun graduated from Trinity College (Dublin, Ireland) and Nanyang Polytechnic(Singapore) as an occupational therapist. She has obtained full registration from the Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC) and is a member of the Singapore Association of Occupational Therapists (SAOT).

Wei Jun’s clinical experience include working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Dysfunction of Sensory Integration, developmental delays, speech and language disorders and learning differences. Also, Wei Jun has worked in both acute and subacute care rehabilitation, particularly with the management of inpatients with stroke, spinal cord injuries and poly trauma.

Wei Jun strongly believes in a family-centered approach when treating a child for it is essential to the development of effective and meaningful treatment strategies. By incorporating feedback and information provided by family members and related para-professionals, Wei Jun works according to an intervention plan that caters to the client’s needs.

Wei Jun has a strong passion for working with young clients. Prior to her vocation as a certified occupational therapist, she tutored primary school students who were weak in their academic studies. Her sessions typically focus on engagement with the client. She aims to gain trust that will develop into motivation towards achieving session and therapy goals.
