Sheralyn Lee is an occupational therapist who graduated in 2006 from
McGill University, Canada. She spent her final year clinical internship
with us in 2005 before becoming a full time staff therapist in August 2006. |

Sheralyn’s clinical experience has seen her working the challenging setting
of a Neonatal Follow-up Clinic, assisting with developmental assessments of
infants/toddlers 2-24 months of age in an early intervention program. She
also was involved in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, assisting with feeding
assessments and recommendations for babies with feeding difficulties and
related issues inclusive of dysphagia, cleft lip and palate, decreased
endurance, and uncoordinated suck-swallow-breathe synchrony. She worked within
a multidisciplinary team of professionals to educate parents of children at
risk and those with developmental issues.
Her past clinical experiences also saw her having a unique opportunity at
the Royal Victoria Hospital, Canada in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology.
Here, she was involved in literature review and preliminary development of
randomized clinical trials, recruitment of research subjects and assessment of
subjects in various outcome measures studies. Hence, along with her growing
clinical experiences, is an interest in research and outcome measures.
In the pediatric private setting, she has already worked with children with the
diagnoses of autism spectrum disorder, dyspraxia, attention deficit disorder,
dysfunction of sensory integration, developmental delay, speech and language
disorders, learning disabilities and Asperger’s syndrome. Invested in her
clinical skills, Sheralyn is adept in and is continuing to further her studies
to be a SIPT (Sensory Integration Certification) therapist and adding to her
repertoire of skill sets in the application of various intervention modalities
within the field of sensory therapy inclusive of:
