Ricardo is an occupational therapist who graduated from the Velez College and Cebu State University. He is also a member of the Occupational Therapy Association in the Philippines (OTAP). Ricardo has worked in both the hospital and private setting. Also, in addition to clinic based therapy he continues to work with children in the school environment.
He works with children with a variety of learning difficulties, both mainstream and with special needs, more specifically children with cerebral palsy, developmental delays, learning disorders, perceptual deficits, behavioural problems and attention difficulties. Ricardo is familiar with a variety of standardized and informal assessment tools. In his intervention capabilities, he has in-depth understanding of the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Auditory Processing and Sensory Integration difficulties. His area of interest lies in understanding children diagnosed with the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is due to his natural ability to engage and interact with younger children. He is able to motivate them with his calm, positive and encouraging approach.
